What is a category 2 water damage
This chapel had two inches of standing water due to a pipe burst causing severe water damage. We were able to remove the standing water and dry the building.
Category 2 water damage is an unfortunate but common problem in our line of work. This type of water damage, also known as "gray water," comes from a source that contains significant amounts of contaminants as well as microorganisms.
Category 2 water damage in commercial settings can range from seepage due to hydrostatic failure, flooded toilet containing urine (no solid matter), discharge from washing machines and dishwashers, or sump pump breakdown. We've even had an interesting case or two involving punctured water beds.
This type of water damage should be dealt with quickly and efficiently. Call us if your business suffers from category 2 water damage.
