How do I dry these important documents?

A storm caused serious damage in this local business. We cleaned up the debris and restored the property to preloss condition. 

Dealing with wet documents can be fraught with peril because they are in such a weakened and vulnerable state that it requires the gentlest touch to repair them without destroying them. We have lots of ideas about keeping your precious documents from succumbing to water damage.
We might begin the document drying process by using a portable fan on the documents, or even putting them into a microwave for a short burst of 15 seconds or so.
Separate documents and place each on a flat surface, understanding that no matter what you do, they are going to need time to de-saturate.
